Owner of DJ’s Junk Removal
Daniel Haer Jr. is the owner of DJ’s Junk Removal, a South Jersey business he started in 2021. Coming from a family with a background in service businesses, Daniel was drawn to work where you can see the difference at the end of the job.
That is a big part of what he still enjoys about junk removal and demolition today. A basement full of unwanted items, an old shed taking up the yard, or a property that needs to be cleared can look completely different once the work is done. For Daniel, there is a real sense of satisfaction in helping someone get that space back.
Daniel started the business because he enjoyed seeing the before and after that comes with clearing out junk and taking on demolition work. He also saw an opportunity to bring that kind of service to people throughout his own South Jersey community.
Since then, the company has grown into a team that handles everything from everyday furniture removal to full property cleanouts and demolition projects. Over the life of the business, the team has served roughly 3,500 people.
The work has grown, but Daniel’s idea of good service has stayed pretty simple: make it easy to understand what happens next, be clear about pricing, finish the job properly, and leave the space cleaned up when the crew is done.
Running a junk removal company means dealing with much more than bags of unwanted household items. Daniel’s experience comes from the wide range of jobs his team handles across homes, businesses, rentals, estates, and other properties.
That includes work such as:
Working around different types of jobs also means knowing that not everything should be handled the same way. TVs, electronics, metal, and construction debris are recycled when possible, while materials such as asbestos, hazardous waste, paints and thinners, propane tanks, and used oil require other disposal options.
Daniel brings that hands-on knowledge to every job, helping people understand what to expect, what can be removed, and how the cleanup will be handled from start to finish.
One thing Daniel has focused on is making the customer experience straightforward. When someone reaches out, the team explains how the service and pricing work, gets an idea of what needs to be removed, and can provide a rough estimate from a description or photos.
The final price is confirmed on-site once the crew can see the job in person. Pricing is generally based on the amount of space the items take up in the truck, with pricing available for individual items as well.
Once the price is approved, the crew handles the removal with the truck and tools needed for the job. When everything is loaded, the work area gets swept before the team leaves.
For Daniel, those details matter. Removing the junk is only part of the job. Making the whole experience easy to follow matters too.
Daniel built the company to serve the same part of New Jersey he calls home. Based in Bridgeton, the team works throughout South Jersey, including areas around:
The business also stays involved locally through events such as Christmas parades and by working with realtors, homeowners, property managers, businesses, and others throughout the area.
That local connection is part of why Daniel wanted to build the business in the first place. The work gives him a chance to help people clear out properties, make room again, and get spaces ready for whatever comes next.
DJ’s Junk Removal works with homeowners, realtors, property managers, and businesses throughout South Jersey on jobs ranging from everyday junk pickup to full cleanouts and demolition work.
The team handles residential and commercial junk removal, estate and property cleanouts, shed and hot tub removal, interior demolition, and select larger demolition projects. TVs, electronics, metal, and construction debris are also recycled when possible.
DJ’s Junk Removal operates under New Jersey Home Improvement Contractor license HIC #13VH11681600 and A-901 #0039388, supporting the range of removal and demolition work the team takes on across the area.
Daniel and the team handle jobs ranging from single furniture pickups to full cleanouts and demolition work. Share what you need gone, and we can talk through the job, give you a rough estimate, and make the next steps clear.
